Go To Grapple is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio that focuses on the ultimate discipline for the mind and body. Described as human chess, BJJ teaches principles and leverage techniques to control opponents and lead them to submission.

Logo
To capture the fluidity of grappling, Go To Grapple wanted a logo that conveyed the flow between two opponents. Jiu Jitsu is not an art of violence, and the logo needed to reflect this. The abstract logomark represents the mats of a studio, with two opponents grappling in the center. The "flow" between the opponents is symbolized by an organic wave line, giving a sense of fluid motion.
To add balance and stability to the logomark, a geometric sans-serif font was used. Although Jiu Jitsu is about flow, it still has principles, core foundations, and structure. The font reflects this balance between fluidity and stability, reinforcing the idea that Jiu Jitsu is both an art and a discipline.
